WOMEN’S CARE CENTER GIVING TREE
Women’s Care Center will be collecting baby and maternity items during the Advent Season. A “Giving Tree” will be decorated in the back of the Church. Please help our moms and babies by choosing an ornament from the tree and purchasing the item listed on the back. Place your unwrapped gift beneath the tree by Sunday December 22nd. Your generosity will help provide for the needs of our precious little ones.
Christmas Rectory Open House—
Monday, December 30, 6-8pm:
Fr. Bateman and Fr. Fischer invite you all to stop by the rectory on Monday, December 30 between 6-8pm for a Rectory Open House. There will be snacks and goodies and Father Bateman will be making his great-grandmother’s eggnog recipe (you might want to bring a designated driver). Come and enjoy some Christmas cheer with your priests and fellow parishioners and take a look around the rectory.
O Antiphons - December 17 - 23
December 17 marks the beginning of the "O" Antiphons, the seven jewels of our liturgy, dating back to the fourth century, one for each day until Christmas Eve. These antiphons address Christ with seven magnificent Messianic titles, based on the Old Testament prophecies and types of Christ. The antiphons beg God with mounting impatience to come and save His people.
Advent Sunday Vespers:
All are is invited to gather together to pray our last Sunday Evening Vespers on Sunday Dec 22nd 6:30 - 7:00 pm. Take a moment away from the bustle and business of the season to pray and spiritually prepare for the coming of Christ as we celebrate Solemn Sung Evening Vespers and Lucernarium.
